Going After Strange Flesh

Going is to move,
after is a tense to describe a relationship to the past, in the time following.
After is also a pursuit.
Strange is the Queer and
flesh is the body.
Move, Time, Queer, Bodies.

A creative practice project initiated as part of my post-graduate study during the Covid-19 pandemic. Going After Strange Flesh included ongoing creative practice research, the design and construction of 2 papier-mâché appendages and a hand painted backcloth, an interactive website and a short film. This research was influenced by the work of Queer and Feminist scholars Sara Ahmed, José Muñoz, Jack Halberstam, Karen Barad and Jane Bennett.
